Tianwan Nuclear Power Unit 7 Conventional Island officially starts construction

On September 19th, the first tank of concrete was poured into the raft foundation of the conventional island steam turbine generator building of Tianwan Nuclear Power Unit 7 of China National Nuclear Corporation, achieving the official start of the construction of the conventional island one month ahead of schedule, marking the comprehensive opening of the construction of Unit 7. Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant Unit 7 and 8 and Xudabao Nuclear Power Plant Unit 3 and 4 are important projects in the package of cooperation agreements in the nuclear field signed by the heads of state of China and Russia in June 2018. At present, the construction of Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant No. 7 nuclear island is progressing smoothly, and the raft foundation construction of each main power plant is basically completed. The construction of the upper structure is in progress, and the localization rate of conventional island equipment is expected to reach 99.6%.
